Glamping - What Exactly Is It?

Glamping tent

Glamping is camping at it’s very best – glamourous camping!

Imagine a gorgeous, luxurious, 19x14 foot fully furnished, Bo-Ho inspired, canvas tent dripping in fairy lights, surrounded by nature; starry, starry skies, moonglow filtering through the thick canopy of leafy branches, doves cooing, an owl hooting gently in the distance, the mesmerizing sound of crickets and frogs in the nearby creek and you and your special someone(s) sharing your day’s experiences as you sip cool drinks or hot chocolate while relaxing in Adirondack chairs on your own little porch or roasting marshmallows over an open fire! Enjoy all the beautiful benefits of camping in the great outdoors but without all the hassle of packing and…. sleep in a really comfortable bed!

NEW BATHHOUSE NOW READY!!

Come relax in the soaker tub, shower under the rain head shower and enjoy the views in your personal and private bathhouse! Specialty curtains let the light in, filter the UV rays and provide complete privacy.

A unique and special experience!

This beautiful tent sleeps up to 4 on a quality queen air bed (18 inches off the ground) with memory foam topper or 2 singles, sisal rugs, antique furnishings, quality linen sheets, cozy down comforter, extra blankets, fan, heater, fluffy white towels and robes and welcome snack. In the morning, enjoy breakfast at any local restaurant, bring your own continental breakfast or cook over the open fire. An “add on breakfast” may be available on weekdays (see below for cost).

All “add ons” (charcuterie, pizza, breakfast) must be prebooked, prepaid and are non-refundable (due to market shopping in advance). Inquire by email if you have questions prior to booking.

Other add ons (pre-book 2 weeks prior to stay) include Outdoor Movie Night (weather dependent), museum tours, Natural Soap Making Workshop, garden tour/pick (seasonal).

What To Expect

Expect a magical experience that will live on in your memories for years to come!

Upon your arrival you’ll be…

- Welcomed, with a snack and cold drink, to The House That Love Built Glamping Tent and The House That Love Built Bed and Breakfast

- Given a tour of the tent and any instructions on equipment which will be for your private use during your stay,

- Tour the shared grounds including bathroom, use of patio/kitchen, firepit, water source and hot tub, bbq, fire pit, etc.

Your host Fawn (or other), will give you the lay of the land, guide you to the best trails, attractions, restaurants, and village services and help you navigate your way to various events, tours or other destinations in the area including the local parks, museums, beaches and shops.

The yard is gorgeous during the day and magical at night! Shaded by mature willow trees, complete with an outdoor patio/kitchen you are welcome to the shared use of a picnic table tucked into the trees, hammock, hot-tub and fire-pit use as well as your own little firepit (in development), yard, children’s play area.  You are welcome to enjoy any part of it along with other bed and breakfast guests that may be present during your stay.

Feel free to enjoy walking in the gardens but please refrain from harvesting vegetables, herbs, fruit or flowers.

NO CANDLES, SMOKING OR FIRE ALLOWED IN/CLOSE TO TENT! NO COOKING IN TENT REGARDLESS OF WEATHER! If you have planned to cook outdoors and can not due to inclement weather, a microwave is available in the B&B – simply ask or please support local businesses and choose from any of 4 local restaurants or take out food/deli from the grocery store.

When multiple guest parties are present, hot tub may require booking times. Ask host upon arrival.
